The Consultation

Creative colour always starts with a proper consultation. This is really important because:

• We need to assess your current hair colour and condition

• We’ll discuss maintenance, because vivid colours do fade faster than traditional colours

Skin Test

Just like with any colour service, if you’re new to us or haven’t had colour in the last 6 months, you’ll need a skin test at least 48 hours before your appointment. Pop into the salon and it takes just a couple of minutes.

What About Maintenance?

Let’s be honest — creative colours are higher maintenance than your average colour. Vivid shades tend to fade with every wash, so here’s how to keep them looking their best:

• Wash your hair as infrequently as possible (dry shampoo is your friend)
• Use cool or lukewarm water — hot water strips colour faster
• Use a colour-depositing shampoo or conditioner if available in your shade
• Avoid heat styling where you can, and always use heat protection when you do
• Top-up appointments every 4–6 weeks will keep things vibrant
